Dr. Matthew Szymanski
Group Class, Physical Therapy, Strength and Conditioning
Dr. Matt Szymanski is a Performance Physical Therapist and the owner of Pack Performance PT. Matt’s interest in fitness, performance, and rehabilitation developed during his time as a CrossFit coach, where he enjoyed the challenge of working with athletes exhibiting limitations or managing injuries. This inspired him to quit his job as a civil engineer and go back to Physical Therapy School, allowing him to follow his passion for helping people move better, stay out of pain, and live active and fulfilling lives.
Matt started his PT career down in Alexandria, VA where he worked at SPARK Physiotherapy, Northern VA’s premier performance PT facility. There, he honed his skills with two mentors, Carlos and Kristen, and treated athletes and motivated movers of all ages. He and his family decided to move back home to CT where he rejoined his former CrossFit community at Golden Goose in Rocky Hill.
As a CrossFit Coach at Golden Goose CrossFit, he sees the power of community on a daily basis. This was the inspiration for Pack PT. No one should have to figure out their pain alone. When you join his pack, you’re getting the power of this growing community to support you throughout your recovery process.
In his free time, Matt enjoys being active with his family pack which includes his wife, Melissa, and two dogs, Cooper and Kip. He is an avid CrossFitter (if you didn’t already know that), and also enjoys biking, rucking, and hiking with his family. When he finally stops moving, he’s probably in the kitchen baking sourdough bread, playing Dungeons and Dragons, watching the Great British Baking Show or reading an epic fantasy novel.
